The holidays are here, and decorations are up! If you are like my family, you are looking for more décor for your house! One item we always love to look at are the colorful plants and fresh Christmas trees. But did you know that they could be a danger to our pets? Here is a friendly reminder to share with your customers about the risks and need for pet insurance during this time. There are many risks out there for our fur-loved ones and the graphic below helps identify just a few with plants that are common during this time. Poinsettias, Holly, and Christmas Trees are the most popular items and have catastrophic results if ingested by our family pets. Insurance should be purchased when a pet is healthy; so, if a customer states, “Oh, my pet is just fine…….,” remind them that now is the time, and not later when things could happen. Thankfully, we have a 24-hour VET Helpline for them if they find it hard to find a veterinarian during the holidays and need advice! We also will help cover ER and Urgent Care facilities if their vet is not available with our pet insurance!
