Citizens, the state-run insurer, will be increasing rates for new business policies effective January 1, 2023. Make sure you have had a wind mitigaiton study completed to ensure you get full credits for your home's mitigation features. Discounts are offered for roofs installed after 2003; and credits are based on how the decking is attche to the trusses; and the trusses are attached to the dwelling. You may also hurricane-proof all exterior opening for even more credits.
